I will lead so you don’t have to
The Ask:
I don’t want you to agree with me. I want you to talk with me.
Did you just get a pang in your gut thinking oh great here goes another one… yeah, it was probably that quick. Crazy, right? I can write, “I don’t want to start an argument BUT-“ and some people will stop reading.
So, I say, I will lead so you don’t have to.
Yep. That’s right. Because you don’t actually want to lead something, let alone people. And you shouldn’t. People really suck at following and they get pretty nasty. Leading isn’t for everyone.
Some people are motivators. Others are followers.
When someone says they’ll “lead”, what does that means? The dictionary says
No one wants to be a leader. But it is someone who aligns everyone to the same destination.
